This Instructor's Resource Guide will enhance educators' ability to promote cultural knowledge and understanding to their students. The activities provide students opportunities to articulate, reflect and demonstrate their learning, as they come into their own understanding. This educational resource is about traditional knowledge, it is about the expression of a way of life, the celebration of traditions, and sustaining the human part of knowledge to keep it moving forward to the next generation.
Cultural Teachings: First Nations Protocols and Methodologies is in part a response to the aftermath of the Residential School Era when First Nations families were distressed by the separation of children from their communities, Indigenous languages and cultures.
